It’s the artists of the world, the feelers and thinkers, who will ultimately save us; who can articulate, educate, defy, insist, sing and shout the big dreams. We can never overestimate the good that comes from artistic communication. When we touch one another through music, we are touching the heart, the mind and the spirit, all at once

Project
background

Music, passion, history

In June 2026, Barcelona will celebrate the completion of the Tower of Jesus Christ in the Basilica of Sagrada Familia and will mark the centennial of the death of its iconic architect, Antoni Gaudí.

To commemorate the occasion, an international partnership led by EAC Productions and the Palau de la Música will launch a concert series led by world-renowned conductor Maestro Marin Alsop, the London Philharmonia Orchestra, and Orfeó Català.

The debut of a new and bold composition by Catalan composer Olivia Pérez-Collellmir in tribute to Gaudí will be the centerpiece of the series: Seven Dreams of Gaudí

Gaudí’s work is at once uniquely Catalan and boldly universal. He is Barcelona’s native son who has touched the world. In celebration of his life and work, Seven Dreams of Gaudí will bring together artists and institutions from around the world to honor the people of Barcelona, the majestic Basilica designed by Gaudí, and the indomitable human passion for art and inspiration.
